Why are ships renamed? 

That is, what needs to happen to activate the mythology of luck behind naming a complex object that floats on water? 

Seaworthy. 

The risks of sailing by oneself, the course of action when a crew is sailing, the longing for the ocean when on shore, the promise of land at the next stop, the hope of arriving to the final port, the sorrow of endless horizons.  

El Faro lost communication with land.

Does Neptune punish re-named boats in the order they were re-named in? 

Does boat insurance cost extra for boats with changed names?
