Danspace Project’s PLATFORM 2014: Diary of an Image by DD Dorvillier is a month of performances and events accompanied by a Danspace Project publication focusing on the work and practices of New York City and Paris-based choreographer DD Dorvillier. Danspace Project’s home inside of St. Mark’s Church will be the site for the creation of two new performance projects by Dorvillier – Diary of an Image and A catalogue of steps with performers Katerina Andreou, Oren Barnoy and Nibia Pastrana.

Es un equipo transdisciplinario que acompaña las performances, laboratorios y actividades de a—f a través de la escritura. Es un espacio en el que se propone el ejercicio y desarrollo de una escritura pragmática, crítica y sensible que entable un diálogo entre el encuentro y el entorno.
CAT busca generar pensamiento alrededor de las obras, los artistas y sus procesos de investigación y producción. Para eso hace uso de un diálogo colectivo y constante; de una construcción continua de perspectivas; y de herramientas de escritura crítica y creativa. Todos estos recursos son al mismo tiempo atravesados por las prácticas artísticas de los integrantes del equipo.

For a period of three months 14 artists from different fields voluntarily came to work one on one with me at my temporary dance studio. Each time someone came to the studio I presented them what had been developed with/by the previous participant. Then, they would proposed new practices for our studio time together. By the end of our encounter something new existed to present to the next participant.
